Type I marine collagen is a source of hydrolysed fish collagen peptides. Their structure is similar to that of human collagen, which may facilitate their absorption by the body.

In the human body, it forms part of the extracellular matrix of the dermis and is a major component of synovial fluid. Hyaluronic acid levels decrease with age. Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an essential water-soluble vitamin. It is an exogenous compound, which means that the body cannot produce it on its own and it must therefore be obtained from the diet. Vitamin C is found in fresh fruit and vegetables, including peppers, kohlrabi, oranges and blackcurrants, as well as in dietary supplements.
