Q10 Coenzyme 120 capsules
Coenzyme Q10 is a fat-soluble, vitamin-like compound. It occurs in two forms: the reduced form, known as ubiquinol, and the oxidized form, known as ubiquinone. The compound is present in mitochondria, where energy is produced, and its highest concentrations are found in heart muscle cells.
Coenzyme Q10 can be produced naturally by the human body, although only in small amounts, and its levels decrease with age. It can also be obtained from dietary sources. Ubiquinone is found in foods of animal origin, including meat, offal, and fish, and in smaller amounts in plant-based foods such as nuts and whole-grain cereal products. Coenzyme Q10 is also available in the form of dietary supplements containing concentrated amounts of the compound.
